Develop new or enhanced insurance products, services and customer innovations for Homeowners lines of business. Utilize market research data to identify, analyze, and evaluate markets, products, or services that are potential areas for the company to enter. Develop and execute strategic plans for entry into new markets. Develop and introduce new or enhanced products and services in existing markets to strategically manage the product development lifecycle. Deliver enhancements that improve product using contract language, underwriting rules/guidelines, system/platform, automation and use of pricing/predictive analytics. Research solutions that inform recommended actions to improve profitability, growth and customer experience in support of annual profit and growth plans, include the creation of cost benefit analysis. Monitor/support/adjust actions and initiatives top and bottom-line aspects of product performance in market(s). Create insights from intelligence about customer, market and competitors for problem solving and proactively monitoring trends in the market. Specialized in product development for Homeowners.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Provide information to leadership/management that will affect profit and growth plan execution on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop reports, analysis, or recommended strategies related to product development or enhancement, product language, underwriting guidelines, processes, and agent business practices.
  • Analyze information and presents opportunities to improve product or business practices and procedures.
  • Monitor effectiveness of current products and recommends changes and/or enhancements to management.
  • Analyze information and/or data in support of the formulation and execution of operational plans.
  • May specialize in supporting pricing activities related to rate reviews, profit and loss ratio-based reviews, experience rating programs.
  • Research philosophies and strategies that support growth and long-term profitability goals.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications and Microsoft Office products.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Homeowner's insurance product design and underwriting concepts in area of expertise.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
