DQS is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to join a thriving consulting firm. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing engineering projects from conception through completion. This position requires a strong background in engineering principles, project coordination, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. The Senior Project Engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Engineer:

  • Develop and Manages designs, drawings, and specifications for industrial development projects
  • Work in a teaming environment on complex urban infrastructure projects, including storm and sanitary, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, headworks, etc.
  • Using a range of computer packages for developing detailed designs including: MS Office, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Civil 3D
  • Resolving design and construction problems
  • Managing budgets and project resources
  • Developing cost estimates and project schedules
  • Ensuring projects run smoothly and are completed on time
  • Participates in contract bidding and construction administration
  • Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment as well as function independently
  • Participate in field investigations to diagnose issues
  • Develop reports and preliminary concepts
  • Wants varied experience
  • Adapts well to change

Qualifications for the Senior Project Engineer:

  • Bachelors or better in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License (Required).
  • Driver's License (Required).
  • Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and safety practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
