Job Description:

We are looking for skilled Phlebotomists to join our team starting November 4, 2024. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing blood collection and related tasks in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collection and venipuncture while ensuring patient preparation and specimen requirements are met.
  • Obtain patient specimens for laboratory testing, including blood cultures and compatibility samples.
  • Accession and manage samples in the laboratory information system.
  • Instruct patients on the proper collection of 24-hour urine and other at-home samples.
  • Measure and record 24-hour urine volumes and transport specimens as needed.
  • Utilize a numbering system for patient check-in and manage calls to laboratory sections.
  • Maintain effective interpersonal skills and customer relations with patients and medical staff.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support and maintain specialized supplies used in the drawing area.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience in phlebotomy.
  • Copy of BLS certification.
  • 3 professional references.

Shifts:

  • Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. (alternating tours).
  • Overtime as needed.
