DevOps Developer

Akkodis is seeking a DevOps Developer for a Contract job with a client in Addison, TX/Chicago, IL (Hybrid). You will be responsible for designing and implementing an architecture that aligns with enterprise strategies while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their needs.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $73/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

DevOps Developer job responsibilities include:

• Define and communicate the architectural vision for complex solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture strategy and business goals.

• Design and develop both backend and frontend components of applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across all systems.

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, enhancing code quality and deployment efficiency.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to gather requirements and provide architectural guidance throughout the development lifecycle.

• Establish monitoring practices to ensure system performance and reliability and conduct performance tuning to optimize application efficiency.

• Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices, addressing non-functional requirements such as security and scalability.

• Create and maintain documentation for architectural decisions, best practices, and standardized templates to support team members and future projects.

• Lead efforts to develop innovative solutions through proof of concepts (POCs) and experimentation, continuously evaluating emerging technologies for potential integration.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and DevOps practices. Knowledge of file transmission protocols including TLS PKI and SSH.

• Proven experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, demonstrating the ability to implement automation in the software delivery process.

• Strong knowledge of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $73.00 per hour
