Must be located in the Los Angelos Area.

The job requires a personal vehicle, travel to Customer locations, some outdoor work and some physical effort. The job is occasionally performed during overnight hours, and travel may be required on the weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work primarily within the assigned region as part of the overall Field Engineering team.

  • Evaluate Customer requirements for projects and provide design concepts.

  • Configure the equipment for a project to the company specifications.

  • Provide Project Management activities and document the project for the company records and the use of the Customer.

  • Supervise and assist with installation of equipment in the field.

  • Instruct Customer on the use and upkeep of the installation.

  • Provide troubleshooting and repair assistance to the Customer, including Return Merchandise Authorization procedures.

  • Work together with the Global Field Engineering Team to provide backfill and assistance globally as needed.

  • Travel domestically 20 - 50% of the time. Some International travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent.

  • Valid driver's license and current insurance.

  • Valid Passport.

  • Well-maintained personal vehicle for use in the field (mileage reimbursed).

  • At least three years of experience in a customer technical support environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of configuring IP systems.

  • Experience with Linux.

  • Experience with PC tools - MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Visio, Google Earth.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional demeanor and attitude.

  • Flexibility in work hours and travel.

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds and operate roto-hammers and core drills.

  • Experience working in a team-based project environment, but also able to work independently.

  • Additional desired experience: development of software products or systems related to the traffic/ transportation industry or traffic engineering experience with a familiarity with the traffic industry.
