As a Safety Supervisor, you will join a dynamic team in ensuring the health and safety of employees across various worksites. You will be responsible for overseeing safety programs, conducting training, and maintaining compliance with OSHA, DOT, DOD, and EPA regulations. Safety Supervisor Job :
- Train and mentor Safety Technicians and oversee their daily activities.
- Conduct safety training for new hires and ongoing training for all employees to ensure OSHA, DOT, and DOD compliance.
- Issue and monitor permits for hot work and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Plan and implement safety programs for PPE, fire prevention, spill prevention, and proper handling of materials.
- Oversee field activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and monitoring for violations.
- Investigate accidents, prepare reports, and identify potential causes.
- Assist in developing and implementing safety policies in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOD regulations.
- Monitor decontamination procedures and manage safety in hazardous zones with Level 5 PPE.
-Support the Safety Manager with reporting, budgeting, and safety program oversight.
Safety Supervisor Job Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience in a safety role for a manufacturing company
- Experience in pyrotechnics, chemical, explosives or related manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Experience leading a safety team or military leadership experience required
- Associates degree is strongly preferred
- Experience with DoD regulations strongly preferred
- Certifications/training in HAZWOPER, CPR, DoD 4145.26
