Gossett Concrete Pipe Co., Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfill the position of Precast Production Manager. This person will proactively assist in all aspects and functions production at the manufacturing facility in Taylors, SC. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership skills, the adeptness at problem solving, and clear strengths in managing and delegating responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the production of precast concrete products for stormwater drainage and excel in supporting all plant functions related to those products.
• Assist the Plant Manager in supervisory roles over manufacturing teams
• Actively support the coordination, forecast, and scheduling of production.
• Maintain clear control and forecasting of the inventory of raw materials and equipment parts.
• In coordination with the plant manager, ensure that production, and efficiency are maximized.
• Develop and realize improvements to routine maintenance and daily upkeep of production equipment.
• Maintain a high standard in quality control to ensure that products are manufactured correctly and specifications are met.
• Champion company safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
• Actively train and develop own employees
• At times will stand in on behalf of the Plant Manager in his absence
  
  

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

• More than 10 years heavy industry manufacturing and machine operation experience required (experience with precast concrete products production desired)
• 3 – 5 years in supervisory or management role within a manufacturing facility
• Thorough knowledge of the tools and equipment used in heavy industry manufacturing
• Expertise in driving and operating heavy equipment (i.e. forklift, overhead crane, etc.)
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills and ability to influence and motivate people to a successful result
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• Inherent focus on safety and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to
• High degree of self-motivation and desire to succeed
• Operates with integrity and transparency
