Summary:
We are looking for a Data Engineer to translate business needs into technical data requirements and manage logical data models for the Enterprise Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in data engineering, data governance, and metadata management, and work closely with ingestion and curation teams to ensure data integrity.
Position Info:

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders to define and prioritize data requirements.
- Develop technical requirements based on business metrics, including aggregation levels and granularity.
- Design and manage logical data models in collaboration with ingestion and curation teams.
- Oversee data catalog entries and enforce data governance standards.
- Manage access controls and handle change requests for data structures.
- Serve as an escalation point for Data Quality Analysts when data quality issues arise.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, economics, or MBA.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or another programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks or other cloud data management platforms.
- Knowledge of logical data modeling, data cataloging, and ETL/ELT tools like Apache Airflow.
- Experience in metadata management and developing data dictionaries.
- Familiarity with Databricks, SparkSQL, Scala, and Java.
