The IT Manager of Professional Services/Projects will successfully manage all aspects of client-requested projects including creating project timelines within the project s budget, communicating timelines to all stakeholders, scheduling appropriate technical resources to complete the project efficiently, and ensuring project revenue is optimized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all project technicians- aid employee development, uphold the company s core values, and ensure the team is equipped to provide extraordinary customer service
  • Create and maintain work plans/timelines for all client-related projects upon approval of quoted work which includes scheduling technical resources effectively
  • Management (Creation/Scheduling/Closure) of all project tickets
  • Actively manage and maintain the company s Project board updating notes, work plans, and statuses in real time
  • Serve as lead communicator for all stakeholders (Clients, Vendors, Technical Resources) from project initiation to closing
  • Maintain an 80% Utilization rate across the project technical team
  • Review scopes of work and develop overall project plans
  • Utilize effective project resource management to align schedules and skills with the required work
  • Escalate issues as appropriate to resolve project constraints and remove bottlenecks
  • Monitor and control all project activities against plans, identifying and managing variances that violate best practices
  • Proactively monitor the progress of projects, implement mechanisms such as change control to keep the projects on track
  • Track and summarize information and trends as needed to document and report project statuses against established objectives, milestones, budget, and resources
  • Perform tasks and complete documentation in project platforms to close out projects
  • Facilitate project closure and final invoice to ensure customer satisfaction and successful completion
  • Facilitate project lessons learned review and document comments and actions

Must-Have Background and Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in business-related field
  • 5+ years of Management experience
  • 3+ years experience in Project Management
  • Thorough understanding of project management principles
  • Proven success working within Budgets
  • Previous IT Project Management is preferred
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, risk analysis, project methodology and team-building skills
  • Proficient standard computing and project management tools including MS Project, MS Office Suite, MS Visio, etc.
  • Ability to motivate teams to complete a project in a timely manner
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%
