Job Title: PL/SQL Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite 3 days per week)
Position Type: Contract, W2 Only (Likely extension to 1 year with potential conversion to FTE)

We are seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer for an onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA, with a strong preference for candidates who can work closely with our team based there. This contract role is initially set for a year, with a high likelihood of extension and potential for full-time hire upon successful completion. Our ideal candidate has a robust background in PL/SQL development, complemented by experience in Oracle database management, data architecture, and ETL development. Experience in the financial or banking industry would be an advantage.

In this role, you will leverage 5-7+ years of hands-on experience as a PL/SQL Developer/DBA/DA to design, develop, and support Oracle-based solutions. Responsibilities include creating SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, triggers, and cursors, while optimizing database performance. You will also be responsible for creating various database objects, such as tables, views, and indexes, using tools like SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and Toad. Proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL tuning, as well as query optimization tools (e.g., SQL Trace and Explain Plan), will be crucial to your success.

Key to this position is expertise in ETL mappings and job creation, with a preference for experience using Informatica PowerCenter or Power Exchange for processing large files. A strong understanding of Unix and shell programming will also be highly beneficial. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills:

• Technical expertise in PL/SQL development with DBA/DA experience (5-7 years)
• ETL Mappings and job creation, preferably using Informatica PowerCenter or Power Exchange
• Oracle tools: SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, Toad, and other Oracle utilities
• SQL and PL/SQL tuning and optimization skills (SQL Trace, Explain Plan)
• Unix and Shell programming
• Agile/Scrum experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
