SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Security Cloud Engineer to collaborate with Product Owners, Applications Owners, Network, and Security teams to design and deliver optimal solutions for large-scale app and infrastructure cloud solutions. The role involves hands-on delivery, requiring active involvement in the implementation and execution of security solutions.

Required Qualifications of the Security Cloud Engineer:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • 5-10 years' experience in Information Security and Engineering.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining infrastructure in AWS/Azure.
  • Expertise in cloud security design, operations, and automation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in documenting security tools, deployment configuration, and incident reports.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • AWS or Azure Certification is mandatory.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud VM series Palo Alto Firewalls in AWS and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Prisma Cloud, Forescout, Cisco Umbrella, Palo Alto Firewalls, and F5 Load Balancing/Firewall.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, SC100, AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect, Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer, PCNSA, PCNSE.

Responsibilities of the Security Cloud Engineer:

  • Design and deploy available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and apps with a focus on AWS and Azure Cloud.
  • Develop automation to build cloud security accelerators and IP.
  • Collaborate with Security Operations teams to build and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technology.
  • Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Ensure compliance with major security frameworks by implementing effective monitoring, logging, and auditing of production systems.
  • Implement secure (zero trust) infrastructure in cloud environments.
  • Engage with state and local government customers and be open to travel as needed.

Work Location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC (50% on-site)
