Offshore Project Engineer

The Offshore Project Engineer is responsible for technical/operational leadership of a project. Project Engineer shows desire to lead Teams, and has the potential to manage multiple scopes such as Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, and Commissioning. Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation. Performs technical studies to refine project requirements. Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.

Job Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management
  • A minimum of 5 (five) years minimum experience in the Engineering and/or Construction Industry with an understanding of Project Execution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function within a project team.
  • Will comply with all KBR and site safety policies and procedures.
  • Need to be open to travel to project sites, local and international, to attend Customer and project meetings and to facilitate the resolution of Engineering interface issues, including traveling to other Engineering offices, Fabrication yards, and Offshore
  • Broad experience with technical activities on projects, including the ability to learn fundamentals of on and offshore operations

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software like Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Work with Project Controls and Contract Management on successful incorporation of change management
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of Engineering Project Execution Plans (PEP) for projects to incorporate digital project delivery and integrated engineering applications and solutions to projects.
  • Understand the estimate, contract, and budgets that are assigned for each function
  • Manage time to meet objectives; forecast and plan resource requirements
  • Support management of the Engineering portion of the project as directed by the Project Manager
  • Coordinate and ensure the generation of deliverables, reports, and procedures required for the engineering portion of the project
  • Coordinate and review inputs from the various Engineering disciplines, functional departments, and sub-contractors contributing to the Engineering portion of a project
