Job Description: SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead

Location: Remote (with travel to Omaha, Nebraska, up to 2x a month)
Contract Duration: 6+ months
Start Date: ASAP (Backfill position)

Overview: Aberdeen Advisors, a consulting firm based in Chicago, is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead to join our team. This role will require travel to Omaha, Nebraska, up to twice a month. You will be remote when you are not traveling. The successful candidate will have recent experience in Brownfield migrations from ECC to S/4HANA and a strong background in leading SAP Finance modules. This position involves working with a Fortune 500 construction company on a critical migration project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Functional Expertise:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of SAP Finance modules.
  • Analyze current business processes and functionalities to identify areas for change and improvement during the migration.
  • Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Requirement Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough analyses of business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring alignment with SAP capabilities.
• Cross-Workstream Support and Collaboration:
  • Support major cross-workstream activities, including data migration, change management/training, cutover, and integrated testing.
  • Lead subject matter experts (SMEs) and engineers to ensure effective project execution.

Qualifications:

• Must-Haves:
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Finance modules as a Lead or Manager.
  • Experience leading SMEs and engineering teams.
  • Minimum of 10+ full lifecycle SAP implementations.
  • Recent experience (within the last 12 months) with Brownfield migrations from ECC to S/4HANA.
  • Experience at a Big 4 consulting firm (Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG, etc.).
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders.

  • Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
