Job Title: QA Testing Lead
Duration: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire
Location: Fully Remote

We are seeking a seasoned QA Testing Lead with a strong background in leading QA teams and substantial experience in the banking industry. This role will lead our quality assurance team, ensuring that testing practices align with development standards, meet project milestones, and enhance system reliability and performance.

As the QA Testing Lead, you will work collaboratively with QA Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to achieve robust testing coverage. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing testing strategies across various projects, overseeing quality standards, and guiding your team to success. You will also be integral to our project management process, aligning with the system development lifecycle (SDLC) and contributing to scope, risk, and cost assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with QA Analysts and Developers to verify comprehensive system testing, focusing on quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Ensure SDLC and project management standards are met by participating in scope, risk, and cost analyses.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to QA team members.
  • Manage testing efforts for ongoing projects and future initiatives, ensuring alignment with project milestones and quality standards.
  • Develop, review, and approve test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures, ensuring thorough coverage of aspects like database impacts, software functionality, and usability.
  • Assess testing needs and formulate effective testing strategies.
  • Maintain and update documentation on system functionality, test plans, and project-specific details, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review software documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring it meets standards and reduces potential risks.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 8+ years in quality assurance leadership roles, with a substantial portion in the banking sector.
  • Hands-on experience with functional and regression testing.
  • Technical expertise in Java, IntelliJ, Spring Boot, MySQL, and Oracle databases.
