Responsibilities

The ERP Technology Services Unit within the Administrative Business Systems Section is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Senior Automation Test Developer to join a newly created testing team within the unit. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something from the ground-up since this is a new function for our ERP. This role will help to get Automation Testing started for ERP applications, initially focused on implementation of an automation tool and automated scripts for Oracle Fusion ERP. This individual will be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to:
  • Participate and help drive selection of an automated testing tool or tools for Oracle ERP, UKG Dimensions, and other ERP systems.
  • Help create and guide an automated testing strategy with our business and stakeholders.
  • Introduce and leverage leading industry standards, tools, and practices in automated testing.
  • Guide, mentor, and direct other individuals on automated testing best practices.
  • Expand development of functional test automation test frameworks, reusable scripts and automated tools to be leveraged across multiple ERP products and platforms.
  • Gather and provide metrics around automated testing results to workgroups and stakeholders.
  • Create automated test cases, test data and scripts.
  • Create and maintain automated testing libraries.
  • In partnership with the business, maintain and establish test data for adequate coverage.
  • Generate defects for issues identified during testing.
  • Develop automated Test Plans to ensure verification and validate that test approaches provide adequate application coverage per release.
  • Apply problem solving and analytical skills to characterize and diagnose complex issues.

This role must have excellent testing skills and knowledge of test planning and execution as well as strong expertise in software test automation framework design, development, and maintenance. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This is a full-time remote position within the United States. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer including F1 OPT STEM. Candidate will be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science degree and at least 3 years of experience in software or test automation development, with 1 year of demonstrated technical experience; or an Associate's degree and at least 8 years of professional experience in software or test automation development, with 1 year of demonstrated technical experience. Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems. Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java. Knowledge of scripting languages such as VB Script, Perl, Python, TCL.
Proficient in test management and automation tools [Quality Center, QTP, LoadRunner, BPT]. Knowledge of SDM tools desired (e.g., IBM Rational tools: ClearQuest, ClearCase, Requisite Pro, Build Forge).In depth understanding of software quality assurance practices and methodologies required. Knowledge of relational databases. Knowledge of tool APIs and experience in building tool integrations. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures across fields of specialization (software development, quality assurance, testing, auditing, configuration management, regulatory affairs) to complete difficult assignments. Must possess strong analytical skills, excellent documentation skills and an ability to interact with people of all levels. Must be self-directed and make decisions appropriate for the business and technical environment. Able to gain an understanding of the applicable systems, industry and regulatory practices and procedures as they relate to product risk assessment. Experienced in analyzing and advising on software development documentation techniques. Experienced in analyzing and advising for optimum usage of common software documentation, problem management and version management tools as they apply to test execution and management. Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycles as they relates to product verification and validation. Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance practices and demonstrated effort to implement suitable practices.Certification and/or training in quality or testing certification. e.g., ISO Service Management, CSTP, or ITIL desired.
