Job Overview

The Senior Manager HR Technology - Recruiting will play a pivotal role in enhancing Macy's recruitment strategy through the effective use of Oracle Recruiting Cloud. This position involves optimizing recruitment processes, overseeing system configurations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to improve user experience. The senior manager role will drive strategic initiatives, ensure system effectiveness, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a seamless hiring experience while maintaining the system's integrity and coordinating testing for updates and new features.

In addition to technical responsibilities, the role includes leading a small team, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and growth. The manager will work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and IT to align technology solutions with business goals, leveraging data analytics for informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating with leadership at all levels and managing vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Adherence to structured policies around security and audit administration is also critical in this role.

What You Will Do
  • Oversee the Oracle Recruiting Cloud system, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization while enhancing user experience for both recruiters and candidates.
  • Manage system configuration and troubleshoot issues related to Oracle Recruiting Cloud, ensuring prompt resolution of any system-related challenges.
  • Lead case management processes to address and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to recruitment operations.
  • Coordinate and execute system testing for upgrades and new features to ensure functionality meets business requirements before implementation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the recruitment process, utilizing data analytics to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and IT teams to align technology solutions with business objectives and recruitment needs.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the recruiting process, driving initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze recruitment data and generate reports to provide insights to system issues and areas for enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and implement best practices for recruiting technology.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors related to HR technology and recruiting solutions.
  • Lead a team, providing guidance and support to direct reports, fostering professional development, and ensuring alignment with departmental goals.


Skills You Will Need

HR Technology Expertise: Proven experience with HR technology platforms, particularly in recruiting systems, with a strong understanding of HR processes, metrics, and best practices.

System Configuration and Troubleshooting: Ability to oversee system configurations specific to recruitment and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring smooth operations and prompt resolution of challenges.

Data Analytics and Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills to leverage data insights for optimizing recruiting processes and enhancing system performance.

Project Management: Experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, including leading system testing, upgrades, and process improvements tailored to recruitment.

Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Talent Acquisition) and ensure alignment of technology solutions with business objectives.

Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead a team focused on recruiting technology, provide mentorship, foster professional growth, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Vendor and Compliance Management: Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors in the recruiting space and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to translate data into actionable insights for continuous improvement in recruiting technology.

User Experience Focus: Capability to implement user experience enhancements, ensuring recruiting technology systems meet the needs of all stakeholders.

Security and Audit Compliance: Adherence to security policies and audit requirements to maintain the integrity of HR technology systems, especially within the recruiting context.

  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in HR Technology Recruiting management, with a focus on system optimization.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
