The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. Supply Chain Operations Management (SCOM) organization within CSCP manages manufacturing operations and fulfilment with the external supply chain partners. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management strategies ensures predictable on-time performance, optimized for cost, prevents urgent unplanned investments and provides accurate, timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. We are looking for a passionate, high energy supply chain professional to help build create sustainable advantage through supply chain. The role of Supply Chain Operations Manager be a part of a team responsible for supporting Microsoft Cloud solutions. They will be part of the supply chain operations team focused on the following key areas:
  • Key link between our Capacity Planning Team and the Build Order & Fulfillment Team, responsible for the stabilization of supply-demand shaping.
  • Utilizing data and analytics for supply matching to our capacity planning and customer demand requirements.
  • Establishing and defining key metrics and performance indicators driving process improvements.


Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years' supplier management experience in an Electronics, or high-volume supply chain and or applicable Manufacturing / Hardware production environment. Minimum of 3-5 years of Program Management and data analytics experience.
  • Understanding in the use of MRP, Excel, Power Point, SQL, Access, and Power BI. Capable of performing complex data analysis to identify problems or opportunities to improve supply chain performance
  • Communication, problem solving skills - ability to manage competing priorities, set clear expectations, collaborate, identify objectives, develop and deliver feedback in written, oral, and presentation formats for partner teams, and senior executive management.
  • Skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies (ability to hold people accountable, and drive closure)
  • Ability to work well in ambiguous situations, and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes
  • MS/MBA preferred

Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities

  • High Focus on Demand - Supply shaping activities to help drive the execution and delivery of MSFT finished goods to global data centers.
  • Maintain company inventory, minimizing both overstock and out of stock occurrences. Ability to analyze the supply and demand of MSFT's products and forecast.
  • Monitor inventory supply and design and implement tools for inventory management.
  • Develop and drive Microsoft Internal and external key performance Indicators and metrics.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with key stakeholders.
  • Achieve delivery performance targets as developed to support business needs, while consistently evaluating opportunities and supporting process updates to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Manage and communicate tradeoffs between our supplier and business needs within Microsoft
  • Responsible for managing continuous improvements and process initiatives in parallel to day-to-day business operations
