POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, ENGELWARD LAB, Biological Engineering (BE) , to work on a project that involves studies of interactions among different DNA repair activities and how these interactions shape the biological consequences of exposure to DNA damage. Will perform mouse husbandry for multiple mouse strains; develop methods to visualize clonally expanded cells using 2-photon microscopy in collaboration with TissueVision; handle and treat mice with N-nitrosadimethylamine; perform spatial transcriptomics; study mutagenesis and carcinogenesis; and prepare figures and drafts of manuscripts.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED : PhD in the life sciences; keen interest in becoming a world leader in studies of DNA repair in mouse models; ability to manage projects under minimal supervision, prioritize, perform multiple tasks, execute detailed technical protocols meticulously, work both independently and as part of a team, and interact effectively with laboratory staff and students; and excellent communication and organizational skills. PREFERRED : Experience studying DNA repair or liver pathology; prior mouse work; and immediate availability. Job #24539
