Role: QA Automation Engineer

Locations: Mississauga, ON

Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)

Responsibilities:

• Manages IT Quality functional area
• Resolves complex and highly variable issues.
• Analyzes trends at an organizational level to improve processes; follows and analyzes industry trends.
• Develops and designs standards and procedures; ensures that they are adhered to throughout the software development life cycle.
• Manages organizational process change.
• Ensures consistency and quality of processes across the organization. Exhibits in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
• Requires in-depth understanding of how own area integrates within IT Quality and has basic commercial awareness.
• Collaborates with local and global stakeholders like QA team, production support team, Dev team etc. to ensure project stability and productivity.
• Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Handle END to END testing and coordinate with different stakeholders and downstream.

• Qualifications:
• 6+ years of IT Testing experience required
• 6+ years of hands-on knowledge of Testing & QA practices, Quality Engineering principles, and tool-sets
• Proven track record in successful automation testing on multiple projects
• Hands-on experience with developing and maintaining Automation Frameworks, along with a strong understanding of automation tools and best practices
• Experience using QA Automation tools like Selenium, and Cucumber BDD for both UI & API Automation using Java.
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Experienced with agile software testing
• Requires communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence
• Good understanding of DevOps concepts and how it intersect with QA
• Hands-on experience with UNIX Commands
• Good to know about OTC Products Clearing.
