Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for Lab Technician (2nd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.

Position Summary: The Lab Analyst s responsibility is to provide support to Quality and the Process Departments through analyses and process monitoring.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform chemical analyses.
  2. Calculate chemical make-ups.
  3. Make chemical additions or notify wet process operators of required adds.
  4. Data entry into the Lab SPC software program (True-Chem).
  5. Utilize the Atomic Absorption for analyses.
  6. Utilize the CMI for surface finish thickness verification.
  7. Proper setup, use, cleaning, and shutdown of lab equipment.
  8. Updating and maintaining laboratory files and logs.
  9. Communication with appropriate personnel for product disposition.
  10. Lab inventory control.
  11. Provide chemical and performance data for process troubleshooting.
  12. Prioritize lab workload accordingly.
  13. SPC chart generation and incorporation of SPC Tools.

Education/Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  3. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  4. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  6. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  7. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  8. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  9. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  10. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  11. Must have very good concentration, must be able remain focused with minor interruptions.
