Job Description

Job Description

Our client is a thriving, second-generation independent family business that has grown significantly over the past five years. Specializing in fire protection systems, they are seeking a skilled and licensed Lead Installer to join their expanding installation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including multifamily residences, mixed-use commercial properties, assisted living facilities, and high-rise structures.

As a Lead Installer, your expertise in installing fire alarm and related systems will be invaluable. You will not only manage installations but also mentor an apprentice, contributing to the development of the next generation of professionals in the industry. The primary systems you will work with are Gamewell and Honeywell (the parent company of Gamewell).

Most of the work is concentrated north of I-90, aligning with your location, and the job occasionally involves collaboration with related systems like sprinklers and suppression. The work schedule is four days a week, ten hours per day, with potential for increased compensation if you are available for service calls.

Responsibilities

  • Install fire alarm and related systems in various settings, including multifamily, commercial, assisted living, and high-rise buildings.
  • Lead and mentor an apprentice, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other trades, particularly on projects involving sprinklers and suppression systems.
  • Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and effective installations.
  • Maintain a high level of organization, punctuality, and professionalism on all job sites.
  • Perform service calls as needed, with potential for additional compensation.

Qualifications

  • NICET II certification and O6 Electrical license required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in fire protection system installation.
  • Positive, family-friendly attitude with a strong fit for a collaborative and supportive culture.
  • Ability to follow directions and accept feedback constructively.
  • Highly organized, punctual, and able to lead by example.

If you are a dedicated professional with the necessary certifications and a passion for fire protection systems, we encourage you to apply. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company that values expertise, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
