Summary of Position

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the organization's information technology and infrastructure and lead a team of IT professionals while overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the organization's technology systems. The IT Manager possesses strong technical skills and management experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage overall IT strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives, including implementation and maintenance.
  • Manage ESI department staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, and desktops.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data, network access and back up systems.
  • Manage the organization's relationship with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions timely.
  • Develop and manage the IT department's budget and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
  • Provide reporting on IT operations and performance metrics to executive and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to IT, such as data privacy laws.
  • Design, develop, implement, coordinate, and maintain systems, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to, disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
  • Additional relevant duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (required):

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant IT experience, with at a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in Windows and VMWare environments.
  • Experience in managing complex IT projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security measures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to IT, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or MCSE.
  • Experience in cloud computing and migration.
  • Experience in managing enterprise-level applications, such as ERP or CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on call 24/7.
  • Ability to commute to the corporate office.
  • Multi-limb and eye-hand coordination
  • Able to stand, bend, reach, stoop and lift boxes up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to sit at desk, working on computer for a full work day
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment / multi-tasking with organization and efficiency
