We are looking for a Manager of M& A Accounting to join our team. Your main role will be to manage the accounting aspects of mergers and acquisitions. This role is based in NOVI, Michigan, United States.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical accounting process for acquisitions, including the development of opening balance sheets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical accounting guidance during the due diligence phase of M& A transactions.
Coordinate with external valuation experts to ensure timely and accurate completion of required valuations.
Ensure acquired businesses are integrated into the company s financial reporting structure, adhering to Company policies and internal controls.
Support the creation and enforcement of company-wide accounting policies for newly acquired entities.
Collaborate with the financial reporting team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of acquisition-related financial statements.
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors during acquisition-related audits.
Lead the technical accounting efforts for post-acquisition adjustments, ensuring smooth financial integration.
Work closely with various global departments to ensure alignment and accuracy in the acquisition process.
Lead or participate in special projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and other technical accounting matters as needed.

Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar roleMust hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
Proficiency in handling Balance Sheets is required
Must have significant experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)
Knowledge and experience in SEC Reporting is essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Must have a strong ethical standard and integrity
Proficient in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
