We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for provisioning, managing, and supporting cloud infrastructure across multiple development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering with a deep understanding of AWS services and DevOps practices. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud environments, while also providing strategic guidance on cloud architecture and infrastructure best practices.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning: Collaborate with IT Services and development teams to design, provision, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure for various projects using AWS services such as S3, EKS, Lambda, Glue, EC2, RDS, Secrets Manager, SNS, SQS, and more.

Production Support: Provide high-level production support for cloud-based systems, ensuring uptime, performance, and security standards are consistently met.

DevOps Pipeline Administration: Administer and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other tools, ensuring seamless integration and deployment processes across development teams.

Cloud Architecture Consulting: Offer expert advice on cloud architecture, helping to optimize and enhance existing infrastructure and guiding the design of new systems to meet project goals.

Monitoring & Maintenance: Continuously monitor AWS components, performing regular maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to maintain the health and performance of cloud environments.

Development & Infrastructure Support: Assist with development and infrastructure support for cloud-based applications, providing technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve any issues, particularly with CI/CD pipelines.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices, working closely with development teams to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing projects.

Skills & Experience:

Senior-Level Cloud Engineering Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a senior cloud engineering role, with a proven track record of managing and supporting complex cloud environments.

AWS Expertise: Extensive experience with AWS services including but not limited to S3, EKS, Lambda, Glue, EC2, RDS, Secrets Manager, SNS, SQS.

DevOps Proficiency: Strong background in DevOps practices, with hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other relevant tools.

Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.

Cloud Architecture: Experience in cloud architecture, including the ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Development Background: Experience in software development is highly desirable, as it enables a deeper understanding of the needs of development teams and enhances the ability to instruct and guide developers on best practices for cloud-based systems.

Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
