We are in search of a Construction Accounting Manager to join our client in the construction industry located in San Jose, California. This role involves maintaining forecasting, accruals, and cash flows for multiple individual projects. The Construction Accounting Manager will also be responsible for collaborating with subcontractors and project teams, creating and maintaining communication channels with key client stakeholders, and leading the onsite finance/admin team.
Responsibilities:
Update and maintain all forecasting, accruals, and cash flows for multiple individual projects
Collaborate with Subcontractors and Project teams to collect status and forecast data
Prepare reporting and information for client meetings and serve as the main conduit for financial information to the client
Work with project teams to ensure adherence to project structure, costing, budgets, and contract requirements
Develop an in-depth understanding of the contract terms and allowable cost terms
Maintain Estimates at Completion (EAC s) for the projects in alignment with the client Work Breakdown Structure (WBS reporting)
Develop a deep understanding of Project projections in relation to revenue forecast, schedule, and cost impacts
Utilize skills in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Construction Accounting, Construction Cost, Construction Industry Experience, Procore, and Job Cost to perform duties effectively
Lead the onsite finance/admin team to ensure adherence to deadlines and deliverables
Ensure efficiency and successful adherence to project structure, costing, budgets, and contract requirements.
Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne softwareComprehensive understanding of construction accounting principles
Ability to manage construction costs effectively
Prior experience in the construction industry
Familiarity with Procore construction management software
Expertise in job cost analysis and management
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Proven ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
