We have an immediate opening for a Instrumentation Technician at our aerospace location in Troy, Ohio. The primary focus of this role is laying, attaching, wiring and soldering strain gages on aircraft wheels and brakes for testing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Precisely measure, locate, and mark locations for gages given from engineering drawing
  • Properly instrument with appropriate strain gages following established standard work.
  • Wire, properly route wires, and connect with appropriate slip ring connectors.
  • Support strain gage testing, including instrumentation trouble shooting and gage/wire repair as needed.

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:

  • BSME or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • 3+ years experience in structure stress, preferably within aerospace
  • Troubleshooting experience with DC electronics
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel
  • Experience in instrumentation
  • Demonstrated experience creating & implementing standard work instructions
  • Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred:

  • Experience using mainframe database systems
  • Experience in aerospace industry
