Job Summary

The Applications Systems Analyst provides ownership, operations, training and maintenance of selected company software tools. This position is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for each assigned application and is the primary contact to all application users within the organization. This position measures and reports system usage and performs administrative tasks. This position is also the liaison between Dental Health Services and the Software Vendor to coordinate usage, training, and software maintenance issues.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact within the company for all employees for the assigned applications and/or tools
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and training materials for all assigned applications and/or tools
  • Represents the assigned applications and/or tools in any IT upgrade and maintenance conversations.
  • Works with the rest of IT team and the vendor to coordinate all system upgraded and patches.
  • Provides IT support staff with appropriate knowledge to address incoming service calls.
  • Works with the IT Infrastructure Engineer and department management to create appropriate SLAs and OLAs
  • Provides all appropriate knowledge base articles
  • Relies on extensive knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.
  • Significant ingenuity and flexibility is expected.
  • Works from a foundation of business, technology, and training expertise to build enterprise excellence.
  • Maintains external relationships and builds trust-based relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Assists in creating a clear growth roadmap and works with department and corporate employees to secure the resources needed to deliver on that growth.
  • Maintains a high level of personal accountability.
  • Knowledge of appropriate applications, as defined by the position assignments.
  • Basic knowledge of C#, Java, PHP programming languages.
  • Basic knowledge of database systems.
  • Working knowledge of virtual machine hosting technologies
  • Experience in developing User Experience stories
  • Experience writing software training materials
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Experience with both cloud and locally hosted applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, strategic project management, and strong problem-solving techniques.
  • Performs any and all additional duties as requested and directed for this position.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience

  • Bachelor s, or equivalent directly related progressive work experience
