Title: Data Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC (Uptown) - 4 days in office, 1-day WFH

Type: Long-term contract to hire

Role Overview:

  • Support member of the Data Quality Team.
  • Responsible for data collection, entry, review, and broader data management efforts.
  • Assist in data infrastructure and operational initiatives to meet business needs and support revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with team liaisons for improved data collection tactics.
  • Parse PDF and Excel documents to input relevant data into the company database.
  • Collect and organize data from multiple sources, taking ownership of recurring collections.
  • Support strategic data management plans with a "white glove" approach.
  • Communicate timelines, deliverables, and expectations clearly with team members and stakeholders.
  • Assess and collect information from internal and external sources to improve data quality.
  • Collaborate with Data Manager and team on various projects.
  • Analyze processes for improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Document and follow up promptly on important decisions or action items.
  • Manage data related to fees and deal valuation for transactions.
  • Provide West Coast support when needed (2pm – 5pm PST) for deal creation and ServiceNow requests.
  • Generate and analyze bi-weekly and periodic reports.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of data management experience preferred.
  • Experience working with relational databases, SQL preferred.

Experience, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in SQL, databases, and query construction.
  • Experience with datasets and data mining/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Office Suite skills.
  • Knowledge of data management principles, methodologies, and programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Initiative, process-improvement mindset, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and applications.
  • Analytical thinker and strong communicator with cross-functional interaction skills.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between technology and transaction professionals to meet business needs.
  • Desire to build strong relationships with revenue teams and create solutions to meet their needs.
