  • This job is a member of the Information Technology Team with the Information Technology Division.
  • Responsible for effectively managing the platform and midrange enterprise services. The individual will anticipate and solve problems at an enterprise level for Midrange Services. The individual in this position must remain continuously aware of business, technical, architecture, and infrastructure issues and aid in the development of creative solutions, including the outsourcing of those solutions. This individual may be called upon to provide any level of project management for single or multiple projects. This individual will also be responsible for managing Enterprise Shared Services (ESS). These services include Virtualization platform, Citrix, Load balancing etc. These services are offered at the enterprise level and are usually in high demand. The candidate must have the ability to determine enterprise priority and adjust delivery schedules for these services when scheduling conflicts occur.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee IT Network Operations practice
  • Facilitate the digital transformation of Network infrastructure to the Cloud aligning to Agile, DevOps and a product mindset.
  • Responsible for process improvement, corrective action plans, root cause analysis, predictive analysis, forecasting and change governance, with a strong metrics and analytical mindset to drive service-excellence.
  • Leads the Operations team to ensure alignment to the business strategy, technology roadmap, and adherence to network, telecommunications governance, security best practices and policies, while driving accountability to product OKR progress.
  • Transform the organization by leveraging and enabling automation, orchestration, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), while maturing the delivery and support of Infrastructure As Code to drive a programmatic practice
  • Accountable for identifying operations services within the business unit portfolios, having end-to-end accountability for customer satisfaction, delivery effectiveness, cost allocations/transparency.
  • Functions as a change agent and influence business direction, increase IT business value and simplicity.
  • Serve as an advocate of his/her business stakeholders into IT and help evangelize the role of IT and technology back to the business.
  • Thought leader who can stimulate innovation, and utilize the autonomy granted to enable improvements.
  • Analyze technology trends and develop technology strategy, solution, and delivery processes designed for agility and cost effectiveness.
  • Presents innovate forward thinking concepts and technology, to improve business processes and increase topline revenue and profitability.
  • Strong leadership and negotiating abilities. The ability to lead cross functional teams, building consensus and buy-in.
  • Participate in IT strategic planning, financial planning, and Portfolio partnership prioritization.
  • Ability to translate strategic plans into specific Objectives and Key Results, and to create and execute plans to achieve objectives.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field/equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Engineering experience in Network Infrastructure Technologies in a large Enterprise environment
  • 5+ years leading cross functional teams and managing people
  • 5+ years working with outside vendors, negotiating services and monitoring the delivery of those services

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Knowledge of Modern Network Infrastructure (Architecture, Engineering, Support, Software Service Defined Infrastructure); Technologies (Palo Alto/Cisco NAC/Infoblox DDI/Cisco Route/Switch; Converged Data Services (Telecom/Mobility/Data) (VZN, AT&T, etc.) and Mobile transport technologies (Wi-Fi, Cellular)
  • Network Switching technologies for Aruba, Cisco, HP, Meraki. Along with Internet based management platforms.
  • Understanding of AIOps and how it can benefit the infrastructure from an operations perspective.
  • Partnership skill to maintain strong relationships with Portfolio and Product teams across Taxonomy both within and outside of Information Technology
  • DevOps, ITIL, Agile and platform process and technology knowledge and experience, with a progressive track
  • Record Flexibility to rapidly changing conditions and priorities, and to pivot and redirect managers and teams toward new objectives
  • Capable of communicating complex, technical topics to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Willingness to interact with senior leadership and influence decision makers, embraces ambiguity and enables clarity
  • Experience in attracting, selecting, and developing technical teams that can pull together to quickly overcome obstacles
  • Strong technical consulting / customer service background, as well as excellent oral, written and presentation skills within Network infrastructure technologies
  • Proved ability to handle operational issues effectively, understanding escalation, communication, and crisis management
  • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diver
