Responsibilities:

  • Performing quality inspections, root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions and leading improvement projects.
  • Lead and report on Root Cause and Corrective Action efforts
  • Participate in or lead continuous improvement events/projects.
  • Participate in or lead plant equipment repair, improvement, and maintenance activities.
  • Create and maintain inspection procedures
  • Perform metallographic inspections.
  • Maintain and provide training on inspection systems and tools.
  • Establish machine capability envelopes for key production equipment.
  • Track and report on vendor quality.
  • Prepare progress or status reports.
  • Perform materials testing as needed.
  • Perform dimensional inspections as needed to support quality technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Scientific degree (BS or AS with demonstrated experience).
  • Experience with a process improvement framework: FMEA, six sigma, or other.
  • 3+ years of experience with dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with metallographic inspection.
  • Solid modeling with Solidworks.
  • Practical experience with statistical analysis.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings
