Salary: $110k - $120k
Location: DTE Fermi Nuclear Power Plant (Onsite)
Position: Full-Time, Permanent (includes benefits, PTO)
Must-Have: U.S. citizenship, 5+ years in mechanical design (2+ years in U.S. nuclear facilities)

About the Role
United is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to bring expertise and innovation to our team at DTE Fermi. You'll collaborate with a dynamic group of engineers and designers to develop modification packages for critical mechanical systems within the nuclear power industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and modify mechanical systems at a nuclear power plant
  • Conduct engineering calculations: hydraulic analysis, HVAC sizing, heat load assessments, and more
  • Create and review engineering drawings (P&ID, GA, equipment plans)
  • Interface with stakeholders to determine project requirements, support construction, and manage startup activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years in mechanical engineering (2+ years in nuclear)
  • Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear plant access

Preferred

  • NANTeL Certification in Nuclear Standard Design
  • PE License
  • Proficiency with fluid flow software (AFT FATHOM)
