Electrical Technician

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up and perform repetitive technical electronic testing functions under the guidance of senior technicians and using detailed written procedures and instructions.
• Align, tune, and troubleshoot standard product filters to meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot circuit card assemblies down to the component level.
• Perform basic electronic assembly, such as installing select-on-test components or soldering tap wires on inductors during filter alignment.
• Conduct simple mechanical assembly, including installing covers and connecting cables, to ensure products meet performance specifications.
• Conduct component-level troubleshooting and repair of RF hopping filters and subassemblies like digital controllers and RF platforms.
• Utilize schematics, PCB/PWB layouts, mechanical drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform continuity tests on wire harnesses based on manufacturing drawings or wire charts.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
• Minimum two-year degree in electronics from an accredited college, university, or technical school.
• At least two years of experience as an RF technician.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Familiarity with J-STD-001-D standards preferred, with the ability to obtain certification.
• Proficient in the use of common RF test equipment for calibration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of RF filter principles, including bandwidth, Q, insertion loss, return loss, and advanced filter alignment and component functionality.
