In addition to KYA s sales and support for North America, Koh Young Research America was established in 2016 in San Diego, CA as a Research & Development hub for artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies.
Summary
The Jr. Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports. The opportunity will be right for someone who is high-energy, extremely organized, and has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Although it is robust in scope, this position offers great work-life balance, steady hours and flexibility.
Responsibility
Responsible for Sales Recognition and Purchase Recognition
Responsible for the Accounts Receivable function, including the timely application of payment transactions, assisting in collections and generation of invoicing as necessary
Responsible for the Accounts Payable to assemble, review, verify invoices and reconcile accounts payable transactions
Manage Sales Commissions for Reps and Distributors
Preform bank reconciliations, investigate and resolve differences
Maintain assets management and Inventory/COGS analysis
Assist in managing full-cycle month-end and quarter-end close including bank reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger adjustments and financial reporting
Assist for Sales and Use Tax filings
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
Provide other administrative support as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, maintaining calendars, doing research, and creating reports
Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Accounting
Master s degree in Accounting preferred
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations
ERP software experience highly desired
QuickBooks experience preferred
Must have excellent work ethics, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
Experience working with Korean based company a plus
Bilingual in Korean, highly desired
