Role Description: We are seeking a System Analyst to support the Office of Retirement Services (ORS) Development and Operations Teams.

You'll be responsible for (Responsibilities):

  • The selected candidate will analyze the current system architecture, research emerging technologies, and assist with system changes. The systems analyst will also lead and manage the design, implementation, and delivery of system and software architecture designs, strategies, and quality assurance plans. The candidate must be able to develop and document long-term technology strategies while working closely with developers and other team members.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Analyze, design, develop, and integrate system architectures.
    • Lead documentation efforts, ensuring high-quality technical specifications.
    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure system functionality aligns with business needs.
    • Assist in the design and development of Java-based applications and support technologies like WebSphere, SQL Server, and more.
    • Document best practices and long-term strategies for both state and industry software engineering.
    • Ensure compliance with security frameworks and utilize tools such as OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps for cloud-based deployment.
    • Work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, miAccount, Employer Self Service (ESS), and other related applications.

    Top Skills & Experience Required:
    • 10+ years of experience as a Java code developer, with strong familiarity in Java, J2EE, and WebSphere.
    • 6+ years of experience as a systems analyst/technical writer on large-scale systems (preferably within a retirement system).
    • Proficiency in writing technical documentation and specifications (swagger experience required).
    • Experience with a variety of development technologies, including.NET (ASP.NET,.Net 6.0), Angular, and React.
    • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps).
    • Strong SQL skills with experience in Microsoft SQL Server (SQL 2016 or higher).
    • Experience with Git, Web Services, RESTful APIs, and security frameworks (JWT, OAuth, Spring Boot).
    • Hands-on experience with testing tools like Junit, Selenium, and Cucumber.

    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and miAccount.
    • Previous experience working in state government projects or familiarity with SOM processes.
    • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
    • Familiarity with Corticon Rules Engine, WebSphere Liberty, and other enterprise-scale systems.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
