Position Overview:

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for setting the overall direction of the company, leading growth initiatives, and overseeing all aspects of retail operations. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in the retail industry, experience in a private equity-backed environment, and a proven track record of delivering results in customer engagement, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the company’s strategic growth plan, aligned with private equity objectives, to drive brand growth, market share, and revenue.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily retail operations, ensuring high standards in customer service, inventory management, and in-store experience.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and maximizing profitability through cost control and efficient operations.
  • Expansion & Market Development: Identify and drive new market opportunities, including store expansion, e-commerce growth, and potential acquisitions aligned with private equity goals.
  • Customer Experience: Enhance customer experience by introducing innovative merchandising, loyalty programs, and brand-building initiatives to drive engagement and retention.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with private equity partners, board members, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring alignment on company performance and strategic direction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of executive leadership experience in the retail industry, with experience in private equity-backed organizations preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in driving retail growth, optimizing operations, and achieving financial targets.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and customer loyalty strategies.
  • Proven financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation in a private equity environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with board members, private equity partners, and internal teams.
