The company is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to join their team and drive sales efforts within the region.

In this role, you will leverage your experience in machine design and maintenance, coupled with a strong sales acumen, to promote and sell a diverse range of controls, pneumatic, air systems, automation, and related products to manufacturers.

This position emphasizes consultative selling, combining both stocked and custom-designed systems to meet client needs. You'll be supported by a skilled engineering and technical team at headquarters, but the primary responsibility for expanding the business in your region lies with you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand market presence in the region, focusing on both OEMs (75%) and new business development (25%).
  • Utilize your regional network and industry knowledge to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Conduct consultative sales processes, understanding customer needs, and offering tailored solutions with both stocked and custom-modified systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure product offerings align with customer requirements and expectations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while continuously seeking opportunities to introduce and upsell additional products.
  • Present products and solutions to diverse audiences, including packaging companies, vacuum application experts, C-suite executives, and farmers.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote company products and expand industry connections.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in machine design, maintenance, and technical sales within relevant industries.
  • Strong sales personality with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test with a score of 80-85%.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set goals, and achieve targets.
  • Experience in selling controls, pneumatic systems, air systems, automation, and related products.
  • Ability to leverage regional network and industry connections to drive sales growth.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
