We are seeking a Business Analyst IT to join our team in Torrance, CA. This role is within the automotive industry and requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning business requirements with technical solutions across our IT systems. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage user stories in collaboration with stakeholders, developers, technical leads, and Product Owners, ensuring clarity in functional and technical requirements.
Create and maintain documentation such as business requirements documents, system requirement specifications, technical design architecture diagrams, and deployment plans.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure systems integrate seamlessly and meet security, compliance, and data privacy standards.
Lead System Integration Testing efforts to ensure different systems, applications, and components integrate seamlessly and that end-to-end processes function as expected.
Manage and oversee the development, testing, and deployment phases ensuring the solution aligns with both technical and business objectives.
Facilitate the development of user stories acceptance criteria and product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Develop, manage, and execute test scripts and test models for functional integration and regression testing.
Lead User Acceptance Testing by coordinating with business users to ensure the final solution meets business requirements.
Manage Quality Assurance processes by defining testing criteria, identifying bugs, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to recommend solutions that enhance system performance and business processes.
Requirements
Proficiency in communication and documentation
Mastery of Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge of compliance and quality standards in the automotive industry
Familiarity with database design and management
Proven experience in project management
Understanding of IT security protocols
Ability to manage relationships with vendors
Knowledge of regulations in the automotive industry
Willingness to travel as required
Ability to optimize processes and systems
Proficiency in SQL
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders
Experience in system integration
Ability to execute tasks efficiently
Understanding and implementation of best practices
Experience in dealing with suppliers
Knowledge of quality assurance processes
Experience in component selection within the automotive industry
