American National is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Performance Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of specific applications, providing technical support, and collaborating with other teams as necessary resolve issues.

Your Impact:
  • Monitor, maintain and enhance application performance.
  • Collaborate with Programmers and System Analysts to troubleshoot problems through a complex and diverse system to their source.Assist with root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Conduct load testing to verify that applications can manage expected growth. Continuously monitor the results to proactively identify when adjustments to the application environment are necessary to support this growth.
  • Identify and communicate networking, file and system issues to other team members and management.
  • Work with other IT professionals, such as system architects, system administrators and cybersecurity experts, to ensure the overall health and security of the IT infrastructure.
  • Track network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities to ensure continuity and compliance with organizational policies.


What You Will Need to be Successful in this Role:
  • Strong Microsoft web-based application troubleshooting skills (5+ years' experience)
  • Experience monitoring, optimizing, and managing the performance of applications, infrastructure, and digital experiences (knowledge of Dynatrace or similar technology)
  • Proficient with load testing (experience with Neoload or similar technology)
  • Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems


Our Preferences:
  • Experience with Duck Creek Server, Express, and User Admin for their Policy Admin system, including product and software configuration is strongly preferred.
  • ADO pipelines for build and release
  • SQL Server and Transact-SQL
  • Citrix
