What You’ll Do

We are seeking a senior interior designer to join our team and work on residential and commercial projects. The candidate should have design experience in luxury or hospitality projects. The ideal candidate would be a gifted designer who can lead a team, envision, manage and execute all parts of a project.

Core Responsibilities And Expectations

  • Manages the development, creation, and pitch of client presentations with minimal Director oversight.
  • Presents to clients and firm leadership with complete confidence and knowledge of project scope and direction.
  • Creates effective budgets, proposals and handles negotiations with clients.
  • Provides design support, solutions and manages team through the completion of projects.
  • Applies understanding of a direct link between design choices and build-out costs while maintaining accountability to the budget.
  • Reviews and delivers accurate document packages to contractors, vendors, and clients according to the project timeline.
  • Coordinates work with contractors and Project Manager to maintain project timeline and budget compliance.
  • Prepares floor plans and elevations, ensuring conformance to design guidelines and brand strategy.
  • Prepares sketches, perspective views, elevations and details as necessary in support of the design solution to facilitate presentation.
  • Ensures design intent is upheld and all details are coordinated.
  • Maintains and monitors project profitability, both in hours and product procurement.
  • Establishes long-lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and consultants.
  • Contributes to the firm’s business development efforts by promoting the firm with existing and future clients and contacts.
  • Attends various client, vendor, software, company training, tradeshows, and meetings.
  • Works traditional hours but able to flex to weekends and nights during peak times.
  • Performs additional tasks as needed to support supervisor.
  • Reports to the Design Director or Senior Project Designer.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Interior Design and NCIDQ license desired.
  • 5-7 years of experience in luxury residential and/or hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of codes affecting design and documentation.
  • Proficient in Revit or CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of LEED or Well Building Standards preferred but not required.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and willing to travel internationally.
