Title: Senior SAP Basis Administrator

Location: Hybrid(Houston, TX or New Orleans, LA)

Duration: Fulltime/Long-term contract

Responsibilities:

• SAP environment administration, HP server upgrades, vulnerability mitigation, patching, transport management, implement optimization recommendations, and continuously improve the environment.
• SAP environment refresh, code promotions, system retrofits, and performance testing
• Configure, monitor, tune, and troubleshoot the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.
• Install SAP systems and related software (e.g. database), including upgrades, preventative and corrective maintenance through the change management process and within scheduled maintenance windows.
• Database administration of SAP HANA, perform database upgrades, apply Fix packs, optimize and tune databases, handle nightly backups, backup and restore strategies, database security, database problem determination and resolution.
• SAP User Role Admin, Security Patches, Application of support packages.
• Apply security policies to the SAP systems as determined by the IT Security group.
• Manage system performance, upgrades, corrections, and transport management (CTS/TMS), client and landscape strategies, batch scheduling.
• Provide technical upgrades functional and technical enhancements.
• Installation, upgrade and maintenance of SAP and SAP related software products.
• Maintain HANA database, perform patch and service stack upgrades.
• Perform SAP Software Installation, maintenance and administration of UNIX and Windows based servers running SAP FI/HR/SRM/Portal, Solution Manager, Hana, Gateway).
• Daily monitoring, administrating, troubleshooting, and tuning of all SAP systems.
• Analyse performance bottlenecks and provide optimization techniques.
• Resolve highly complex problems and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner, as well as provide root cause analysis for problem management.
• Ensure that the SAP disaster recovery plan is sufficient to perform a successful recovery, and that the plan aligns with the overall strategy.
• Ensure hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinate and/or modify system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.

Requirements:

• 9+ years of SAP Basis Experience, Basis Administration Certification is a plus
• Good experience and understanding of User Administration, SAP Security operations, Security Role design and development
• Experience with Web dispatcher and process orchestration integration
• Experience with Installing, Configuring, Monitoring (System Log, System Performance etc.) and maintaining (Transport management, Performance Tuning, Support Packages, Upgrade, DMO/SUM, OSS Notes) SAP ECC, BW, SCM, EWM, Solution Manager and HANA DB environment
• Good experience with Disk Space Management, Backup, Recovery, Client Copy, Data Refresh
• Working knowledge in all areas of technology (Servers, Network, Software, end-user platforms)
• Must be willing to occasionally work after hours
• SAP IS-U experience is a plus
• Excellent analytical skills and a sense of urgency
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
