Job Purpose

The Electronic Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for analyzing, coding, configuring, unit testing, and promoting all electronic platform artifacts to various electronic platforms including vendor supported platforms. This includes providing support for delivery teams, business users, DTCC, Distributors and electronic vendor partners for feed testing and technology enhancements to include integrated testing and post implementation support. This position is expected to obtain advanced level knowledge of our vendors' operational processes and business platforms. This role will require a solid understanding of Jackson's business model to determine the appropriate communication channels and involvement of respective stakeholders. The Analyst will serve as a point of contact for electronic business production support, which will require strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to activate various risk mitigation recovery plans based on the severity of the issue and the impact on our service level agreements. The Electronic Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for serving as an intermediary between Jackson's business units, vendors, distributors, and project teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Adheres to and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training documentation and technical standards within their domain.

  • Partners with team members to understand problems, recommend solutions, and solution production issues.

  • Strong ability to activate various risk mitigation recovery plans based on the severity of the issue and the impact on our service level agreements.

  • Achieves personal goals by meeting or exceeding project timelines, anticipating and communicating potential project risks, applying experience and knowledge to new assignments, becoming proficient in pertinent toolsets.

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of Jackson business, identifies appropriate stakeholders, anticipating their needs.

  • Demonstrates ability to perform data analysis and identify data elements needed to create simplified visuals to drive business decisions.

  • Provides 2nd level technical support and consultation within domain.

  • Demonstrates a functional understanding of domain.

  • Gains familiarity with Architecture Body of Knowledge and associated processes.

  • Adheres to quality and coding standards.

  • Works with internal, external stakeholders and, product owner in gathering requirements and refining features/user stories.

  • Works with internal, external stakeholders and, product owner in designing solutions and provides an architectural recommendations.

  • Demonstrates solid understanding of Annuity business and products.

  • Analyzes, codes, configures, unit tests and promotes complex electronic platform artifacts (e.g. DPfA, PPfA, forms) to various electronic platforms (AN4, Affirm, Firelight, FIDx, etc.).

  • Reviews the electronic platform vendor release documentation and provides guidance on updates required.

  • Understands and troubleshoots downstream impact of implemented development.

Other Duties

  • May participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies.

  • Provides trending and related support for production issues as needed.

  • Available to provide on-call support after hours and on weekends as necessary.

  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or education required.

  • 3+ years of business related experience required.

  • Financial services and customer service experience preferred.

  • Experience with Ebix, iPipeline, Insurance Technologies, DTCC, DST, Envestnet, FIDx, or other Electronic Business financial services systems/financial technology vendors preferred.

  • ACORD certification preferred.
