PRISM seeks a Data Scientist who will play a crucial role in unlocking the power of data to drive informed decision-making. You will leverage your expertise in machine learning, statistics, and data analysis to develop innovative solutions and insights. You will work with large datasets, build predictive models, and create data visualizations to help our organization achieve its strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies.

  • Model Development: Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models to solve complex problems.

  • Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.

  • Feature Engineering: Engineer relevant features to improve model performance.

  • Data Pipelines: Design and implement efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

  • Problem-Solving: Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.

  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and explore innovative approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and

  • 7+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience.

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn

  • Experience with SQL, R, Hadoop, Spark, Java, C/C++, Git, Bash, Tableau, ArcGIS, or Unix commands

  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques

  • Ability to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable tasks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data Engineering: Experience with data engineering tasks, such as cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation.

  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.

  • MLOps: Experience with MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
