Responsibilities

The M365 System Administrator is responsible for the administration, management, and support of the organization's Microsoft 365 (M365) hybrid environment. This role involves ensuring the seamless integration of on-premises and cloud-based M365 services, maintaining system availability, performance, and security, and providing support to end-users. Works closely with IT teams, end-users, and stakeholders to deliver a secure, efficient, and user-friendly hybrid M365 environment. The M365 Systems Administrator, will design, implement, monitor, and maintain the enterprise M365 environment. This includes Azure AD, Exchange Online, OneDrive, InTune, Teams, SharePoint Online. Additionally supporting and working with server administration and application administration team on troubleshooting and deployment tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

Administer and manage M365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and other M365 applications.
Monitor M365 health, performance, and logs to ensure smooth operation and compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to M365 services and integration.
Configure and maintain mailboxes, including email forwarding, shared mailboxes, and email security settings to ensure secure and efficient email communication.
Maintain and troubleshoot hybrid Exchange environments, ensuring mail flow and directory synchronization.
Implement and enforce security policies and best practices for M365 services.
Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Manage data loss prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, and other compliance features.
Provide Tier 3 support for M365-related issues.
Assist users with M365 services and troubleshooting.
Develop and deliver training materials and documentation for end-users and IT staff.
Work closely with IT support teams and application owners to integrate M365 services with other systems and tools.
Participate in IT projects and initiatives related to M365 services and hybrid environments.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement new features.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in M365 administration or a related role.
Experience managing hybrid environments that integrate on-premises and cloud-based services.
Experience with Azure AD Connect, Exchange Hybrid Configuration, and hybrid mail flow.
M365 experience (2 year or more in a 2k or more accounts)
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or similar.
CompTIA Security+ certification.
ITILv4 Foundations certification preferred.
U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
Strong understanding of Active Directory (AD), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), and hybrid identity solutions.
Knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies related to M365.
Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
Detail-oriented and able to organize information
Strong customer service and oral/written communication skills required.
Ability to work independently and produce results, given general priorities, required
Versatile and flexible and capable of assisting other Tier 3 teams within the overall, larger Enterprise support team Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
