We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Specialist to work within our Contracts, Procurement and Proposals Management (CPPM) Compliance team, located in Torrey Pines, CA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Compiles and analyzes data to identify trends and recommend solutions and areas for process improvement; contributes in actions to be taken.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of electronic and hard copy reports and records.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and audit of Company policies, procedures and associated documentation; ensures compliance with appropriate statutes, regulations and Company policies and procedures.
  • Supports audit requests including the analysis of the data to be presented.
  • Supports daily management of incoming requests to the Contracts Compliance and GA Small Business Program Office teams.
  • May interact with internal and external customers and audit agencies.
  • Utilize MS Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, to perform audit activities. Use SAP ERP and other software applications to review, extract, and analyze data.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and (1) one or more years of professional contracting, procurement, or supply chain experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFARS is desirable, as well as some understanding of one or more of the following: supplier administration, supply chain management, purchasing, material management, price/cost analysis and/or production control principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Must have experience using problem-solving techniques to address and resolve complex data-related issues.
  • Must have some experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to analyze, interpret, and manipulate data to provide accurate, actionable insights.
  • Prior experience with SAP is highly desirable.
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.
  • Must be customer focused and possess:
    • the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems;
    • strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings;
    • strong interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals; and
    • excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.

Salary:$51,650 - $87,290
