Data Science Intern- Irvine, CA (Hybrid Position)

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking motivated Interns to join our growing Data Engineering team in our Irvine, CA office for a 12-week program from May-August 2025. The anticipated outcomes include refined content personalization, improved passenger satisfaction, and optimized inflight entertainment offerings. By leveraging data analytics and machine learning, we aim to enhance customer experiences, resulting in increased engagement, higher customer retention, and potentially new revenue streams. The intern's contributions will play a pivotal role in refining our strategies, leading to data-informed decisions that positively impact the business, improving overall service quality and customer satisfaction metrics.

The hourly wage range for this position is $25- $43. The final offer amount may vary and is based on the candidates' year in school. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.

Qualifications
How you will spend your summer:
- Interns in our Data, Analytics, and Personalization team will actively contribute to real-world projects involving inflight entertainment and connectivity. They'll assist in data analysis, support machine learning initiatives, and aid in personalization strategies.
- Projects may include refining content recommendation systems, analyzing passenger preferences, and exploring innovative ways to enhance the overall inflight experience.
- Interns will gain hands-on experience in data-driven decision-making, leveraging diverse datasets, and collaborating within a dynamic, technology-focused environment.
Qualifications:
- The Intern will develop AI/ML Based solution to help resolve operations tickets resolution time by 35%.
- Use LLM in PULSE project to identify issues before customer
- Undergraduate, Python, SQL, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, LLM (Large Language Models), Statistics.
- Must be able to commute to Irvine, CA office 3 times a week
