ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF): The Senior Data & Business Intelligence Associate is primarily responsible for the sourcing, manipulation, preparation, and validation of data for consumption - which may be in the form of production reports or as analytical data sets to answer questions or to perform predictive analysis. The Senior Data & Business Intelligence Associate uses queries and data mining to produce more complex reports and descriptive analysis that provide answers to questions such as How do I measure? and What happened? . Through self-managed data sourcing projects, the Senior Data & Business Intelligence Associate should liaise between technology partners and the business to engineer data into insightful business intelligence solutions, process improvements / automations, and reports. Success criteria include: leveraging critical thinking, technical expertise, and anticipation of business needs from technology and business partners to provide reporting and analysis or implement process improvements; leading conversations with business partners and effectively communicate with all stakeholders; and providing solutions based on an understanding of impacts / intersections with other business partners and lines of business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide moderate to more complex analysis and reports, leveraging critical thinking and business acumen to source and translate data into business intelligence insights, reports, and analysis that answer business problems
Collaborate and lead conversations with business and technology partners to identify and understand analytic / business needs
Automate and standardize reports for production
Make process improvement suggestions
Effectively communicate key points to respective stakeholders, with the right amount of detail
Review work product of junior staff; provide input, direction, and mentorship

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master s degree (or its equivalent) in Data Analytics, Business Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Statistics (or other related field) with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor s degree (or its equivalent) in Data Analytics, Business Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Statistics (or other related field) with at least 6 years of relevant experience
Proficient in:
o Advanced Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint
o Intermediate/advanced query writing/coding including complex joins . Python or SQL preferred.
o Intermediate/advanced data visualization
o Analytical programming languages
o Report and process automation

Knowledge or Skill in:
o Process flow
o Project management

o Google Cloud technologies and tools
o Navigation of data warehouse and/or data supply chain

Business Acumen: Understands assigned LOB strategy; Knows our industry, competition, and competitive environment; Possesses intellectual curiosity; Understands key drivers of financial results and business impact; Developing understanding of how business works
Critical Thinking / Problem Solving: Leverages critical thinking and business acumen to provide solutions to increasingly more complex problems; Ties work with understanding of impacts / intersections with other business partners / LOB; Aware of potential pitfalls with each recommended solution; thoroughly vets and thinks through options before making a decision

Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties. Preferred location is near Key's Brooklyn, OH or Amherst, NY office location.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $77,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
