Summary:

Under general supervision, designs and implements processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis to enable informed business decisions. Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via an increasing understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis. Typically uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis, and fact-based management to drive decision- making.

Job Description / Responsibilities:
  • Data Modeling: Designing efficient data models that enable data analysis.
  • Data Transformation: Cleaning, shaping, and transforming data for meaningful insights.
  • Report Development: Creating reports with interactive visuals that convey data insights.
  • Dashboard Creation: Building dashboards that provide a consolidated view of key metrics.
  • Data Integration: Connecting Power BI to various data sources and ensuring data flows smoothly.
  • Performance Optimization: Enhancing report and query performance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide insights.
  • Data Security: Implementing data security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Documentation: Maintaining documentation for data models, reports, and dashboards.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving data-related issues.
  • Previous migration experience of converting one visualization technology to another ( eg, Spotfire to PowerBI / Tableau to PowerBI etc.)
Skills / Abilities:
  • Proficient in analytics software and applications

  • Data Modeling: Proficiency in designing data models that underpin reports and dashboards.
  • DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Mastery of DAX, a formula language used in Power BI for calculations and data manipulation.
  • Data Transformation: Skills in transforming raw data into a format suitable for analysis.
  • Visualization: Expertise in creating visually compelling and informative reports and dashboards.
  • Data Source Connectivity: Knowledge of connecting to various data sources, such as databases, cloud services, and APIs.
  • Power Query: Ability to use Power Query for data extraction and transformation.
  • SQL: Familiarity with SQL for querying databases.
  • Problem Solving: Critical thinking to solve complex data-related challenges.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to understand business requirements and present findings.
  • Technical Proficiency: A deep understanding of Power BI's technical aspects.
  • Data Acumen: An ability to work with data, including data cleansing and transformation.
  • Analytical Thinking: The capacity to extract insights and trends from data.
  • Visualization Skills: Creating compelling visual representations of data.
  • Communication: Translating data insights into understandable narratives for non-technical stakeholders.

  • 3-5 years of Azure experience
Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, or Finance.

Minimum Experience

Three to Four (3-4) years' work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient in analytics software and applications; Good interpersonal skills

Good written and oral communication skills

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Annual Pay Range: $93,040 to $139,560
