Description:
Sr. Cybersecurity Consultant (ICS/OT) to join team full time. This role will be responsible for the design, development and/or implementation of Industrial Control Systems and Operational Technology (ICS/OT) cybersecurity programs for client networks and industrial process control systems. This position will identify and evaluate security risks within a client's ICS/OT environments and drive implementation of leading practices and solutions to mitigate exposures and adequately manage cybersecurity risks.
Detailed Description:
Consult with clients to develop, monitor and/or maintain an ICS/OT cybersecurity practice that aligns with industry best practices and standards (e.g. NIST 800-82, ISA 99/IEC 62443)
Draft, implement, and/or maintain ICS/OT security policies, standards, and procedures for clients
Collaborate with key client stakeholders to scope and implement passive ICS/OT monitoring tool evaluate cyber risks to the IT and ICS/OT environments
Evaluate and implement cyber solutions and services required to manage risks for clients
Collaborate with key client stakeholders to understand threats and develop mitigating practices
Consult with client IT and ICS/OT teams to effectivity and securely converge the two environments.
Conduct, support and/or assist client and internal investigations into cybersecurity incidents and recovery efforts
Job Requirements:
Solid understanding of emerging technologies such as Cloud Platforms, Internet of Things and Industrial Control Systems data platforms
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Understanding of ICS/OT architectures and protocols
Ability to demonstrate understanding of IT and ICS/OT cybersecurity principals
Experience implementing and managing firewalls (FortiGate, Juniper, Check Point or similar)
Possess strong written/verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Possess excellent presentation skills and capability to produce reports suitable for delivery to both technical and non-technical audiences
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or other relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5+ years of experience in network and cybersecurity engineering and support in an IT or ICS/OT environment
Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers and switches
Experience with designing, developing, implementing or maintaining a secure ICS/OT architecture
Location: Houston, TX (with up to 30% travel)
Responsibilities:
Conduct cybersecurity assessments for clients, including developing and reviewing questionnaires, documenting findings, and providing recommendations
Implement and manage security solutions such as Microsoft Defender for IoT and Azure Sentinel
Set up servers, remote access solutions, and manage different security architectures
Provide incident response and vulnerability management support
Develop strong business relationships and showcase capabilities within the organization
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in security consulting, with a focus on Operational Technology (OT) security
Broad skillset covering systems, networks, and OT security
Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for IoT and Azure Sentinel
Strong technical writing and communication skills
CISSP or other relevant security certification
Comfortable working in a variety of projects and environments
