We are currently look for a Prototype Test Engineer to join our team in Redmond, WA. This role is In-Office. The pay range is $100,000 - $125,000/year DOE.
Primary Function:
As a Prototype Test Engineer you will work as part of the new product development team to verify performance of hardware, software, firmware and mechanical subsystems to find potential product defects before a design or design fix is released.

Primary Function:
As a Prototype Test Engineer you will work as part of the new product development team to verify performance of hardware, software, firmware and mechanical subsystems to find potential product defects before a design or design fix is released.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Use product specifications to create test plans and document test results.
- Create and execute test plans to verify that products meet product requirements and customer expectations.
- Create and execute targeted engineering evaluations at the request of the design engineering staff.
- Perform and document failure analyses.
- Advise engineering staff on appropriate test design and methodologies.
- Program test equipment such as a tensile tester, industrial robots, or temperature chamber.
- Basic equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
- 3+ years of degreed experience in product or design verification testing.
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical test methodologies and techniques.
- Experience with materials testing, drop testing, IPX testing, high speed video.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic team and ability to thrive in a virtual and fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.
- Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values.
- Pass a post-offer background verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and/or MS Office products.
- Intermediate functionality with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and/or Solidworks
- Adhesive dispense knowledge preferred.
- Experience with Instron Bluehill and/or WaveMatrix software
