Job Title: Lead Software Engineer Trading Systems Support
Location: Toronto (Hybrid)

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with expertise in trading systems and financial services to manage the application support team for our clients platform. This role is based in Toronto and involves close collaboration with their global office to ensure smooth support and integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the support team to maintain platform performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshoot complex issues related to trading systems.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to address application challenges.
  • Implement and oversee incident and problem management processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including support procedures.
  • Mentor and train support team members.
  • Analyze support metrics to spot trends and suggest improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding support issues and resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python is essential
  • Strong leadership management & Mentorship experience required
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in application support, especially in trading systems.
  • Experience in application monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with financial risk management software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AWS platforms and services.
